It’s more than likely you’re in at least a few WhatsApp group chats, and are swiping away notifications day and night from friends or family.
But, do you know how to jazz up those conversations with bold and italic text, and even get a strikethrough? There are some tricks to get your point across with a bit more flair than usual, and they’re super easy to do.
Italics on WhatsApp
For italics in your message, simply put an underscore at either side of the text you’d like to change. For example:
_hello_ will become hello.
Bold on WhatsApp
To make your messages bold add a an asterisk to either side of your chosen text. For example:
*hello* will become hello.
Strikethrough on WhatsApp
For a strikethrough on your text, use a tilde at either side – that’s the little squiggly dash. For example:
~hello~ will become hello
